Himanta Biswa Sarma Predicts BJP Wins in Assam and Bengal, Calls for Border Sealing

Alipurduar, April 18 : Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has expressed confidence in a strong electoral performance by the BJP in the upcoming elections, projecting significant victories in both Assam and West Bengal.

Speaking at a public gathering in Alipurduar, Sarma stated that the party is likely to secure around 100 seats in Assam and approximately 200 seats in West Bengal. His remarks reflect the party’s growing confidence ahead of the elections.

During his address, the Chief Minister also highlighted border security as a key issue. He pointed out that stricter measures have already been implemented in Assam and Tripura and emphasized the need for similar action in West Bengal.

Sarma said that sealing the border in West Bengal is necessary, describing it as an urgent priority in the current political and security context.

The statements come amid ongoing political activity in the region, with parties intensifying their campaigns ahead of the elections.
