Tura, April 11: In a significant political development, the Voice of the People Party (VPP) has held its first-ever meeting in Garo Hills, marking the party’s entry into the region.
The meeting took place in Tura and was highlighted by MDC Powell Sohkhlet, who described the moment as a milestone for the party since its formation. According to him, this is the first time the VPP has been able to establish its presence in Garo Hills.The development signals the party’s intent to expand beyond its traditional strongholds and connect with people across different regions of Meghalaya.
