The four-day competition, organised by the Office of the District Sports Officer, West Garo Hills, brought together more than 1,000 students from 46 schools under Selsella, Gambegre and Tura. The games were held across Under-14, Under-15 and Under-17 categories in volleyball, basketball, taekwondo, swimming, kabaddi, badminton, athletics and table tennis.

The final day featured a basketball showdown between Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Tura and Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Rongkhon. Tura won the final 54–33.

Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Speaker Thomas A. Sangma attended the closing ceremony as chief guest and congratulated the students, teachers, parents, officials and organisers.

Sangma welcomed the participation of more than 1,000 students and said the range of sporting disciplines gave young athletes an opportunity to compete and develop their abilities.

The medal standings followed the conventional system in which Gold medals take priority in determining the overall ranking, with Silver and Bronze used when Gold counts are equal.
