“Education should not be limited to personal success but should be used for the greater good of society and the community,” Singh said.

Referring to the legacy of U Kiang Nangbah, he asked the students to uphold the values of courage, integrity and service reflected in the college motto, “Awake, Arise and Reach for the Goal.”

“Remain curious, grounded and courageous” as they pursue higher studies or careers, he told the graduates.

Singh also acknowledged the role of teachers, families, college staff and the Alumni Association in supporting the students throughout their academic journey.

Principal Hercules Toi highlighted the institution’s growing academic and vocational offerings, including Commerce and courses in web designing, computer accounting, music, beekeeping, mushroom cultivation, electrical work, tourism, carpentry, baking and confectionery and fashion designing.

He said the vocational programmes provide practical training and internship opportunities aimed at improving students’ employability.

Graduates from the Arts, Science and Commerce streams received their academic certificates during the programme. Students who secured Grade O, Grade A+ and Grade A were also recognised for their academic performance.

Retired Principal and Alumni Association president B.N. Lamare attended the programme, which concluded with the National Anthem.
