Tenders for the project have already been floated by the PWD (Buildings), covering two separate apartment complexes.

One of the proposed buildings is meant for IAS officers and carries an estimated cost of over Rs 4 crore. The work includes demolition of an old Assam-type structure, site preparation, retaining walls and parking arrangements.

Officials said the complex will be a G+3 RCC structure and will include a lift with a capacity of 13 persons.

The building is also expected to include rainwater harvesting facilities, street lighting, air-conditioning provisions and DG backup.

The project is part of the government’s push to improve accommodation facilities for officers serving in the state capital.
